Sean Canevaro
CEO & Managing Partner
Sean has over 35 years of professional experience in the IT Solutions Industry, spanning a wide range of areas including, product management, product marketing, consulting and business development. Sean has a profound understanding of both the technical and business aspects of building and implementing enterprise IT solutions and services. He possesses deep expertise in Virtualization technologies, is fully certified and well-versed in vendor solutions across the board. Sean’s dedication to his clients and employees, long history of community involvement and impacted schedule.
Craig Miller
Director of Infrastructure & Security Practice, Partner
Craig has over 25 years of experience in IT consulting, engineering, and support. His primary focus has been on designing and deploying infrastructure models based on the latest cybersecurity best practices for organizations. His practice focuses on new and evolving threats that continue to plague businesses, education, and government agencies. At KIS, Craig’s group provides cybersecurity consulting consisting of design, deployment. Craig’s group also provides incident response services for virus outbreaks. He provides preventative measures, including cybersecurity framework and compliance assessments as well as penetration testing. Craig is an authorized Center for Internet Security (CIS) Consultant and currently holds the Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator Certifications and multiple vendor certifications from Microsoft® and many others.
Allan Hurst
Director of Project Management & Partner
Allan’s professional practice areas at KIS center around strategic planning, project management, documentation, systems migration, remote support, and Active Directory diagnostics, remediation, and rearchitecture. Allan is a technology evangelist for several vendors within KIS, including Barracuda, Datto RMM, and Quest. Allan created and implemented the internal support and quality assurance programs that won KIS multiple Novell Service Excellence Awards. Prior to KIS, Allan owned and ran Spectrum SupportNet, Inc., a Novell Platinum partner which merged with KIS in April of 2002. Allan has 35+ years of computer industry experience and holds multiple certifications. Allan is the founder and past president of multiple local user groups (Silicon Valley NUI, Novell Oakland Bay Area Users Group).
David Powell
Director of Cloud Services & Adv. Tech., Partner
As a five-time Engineer of the year winner and two-time Engineering Excellence winner, David was the first Partner to be promoted from the Engineering staff here at KIS. David has over 20 years of IT experience ranging from participating in Point of Sale system design and roll out for a larger retailer to holding a California Teaching Credential as a Technology Instructor in Linux & Microsoft OS, Oracle Internet Academy, and Cisco Networking Academy. David joined the KIS team in 2005 from a Chief Technology position for a California school district. David specializes in End-User Computing technologies, including Virtual Desktops, Collaboration technologies, and edge access technologies such as wireless networking.
Todd Schmitzer
COO & Partner
Partner and EVP of Vendor Relations. Working to further develop the strong portfolio of key vendors with which KIS has great partnerships and relationships. Partnerships that are focused around collaboration and a mutual desire to work hard to benefit each other in support of our shared customers. A KIS Practice Manager/Enterprise Consultant, responsible for developing opportunities for KIS in emerging technologies and with new vendors. Additionally, provided engineering/consulting support to KIS customers.
