Solutions take into account the needs of the client to have private and secure network solutions to communicate with their business units and partners.
This practice requires a multitude of solutions, technologies, and providers to properly implement quality and cost-effective internetwork and private network access solutions.
Wide Area Networks (WAN) are typically implemented with a carrier such as AT&T. Many other providers exist who can actually bring the cost down by leveraging their partnership with AT&T and other carriers. KIS has partnered with a number of wholesale providers who work with the Local Exchange Carriers (LECs) to provide low cost WAN services on a wide variety of technologies.
Some of the numerous technologies used are private circuit based Frame-Relay services, ADSL, SDSL, MPLS, and T-1 or better circuits. Many of these can be on private or public circuits. In some technologies, KIS can accommodate a mesh of circuits to provide multiple paths to any one site that increases the fault-tolerance within the WAN infrastructure. A very common and easily deployed solution for WAN communications is MPLS. MPLS provides T-1 speeds or better, can be meshed when multiple sites are involved, can be public or private configured circuits, and can scale as a company grows or shrinks. KIS has deployed smaller solutions for one office Internet communications through multi-site National and International enterprise businesses.
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Virtual Private Networking (VPN) is a well adopted technology that KIS has extensive knowledge in deploying. Our partners provide KIS with a number of proven solutions to provide a non-client based VPN solution. This provides simplicity for our clients to securely connect to their protected systems. Some solutions also include a remote control or desktop virtualization layer to speed up these traditionally slower connections for a better user experience without sacrificing security.
IPSEC is a client based VPN solution that has traditionally been deployed in many environments. IPSEC is typically the choice for Site-to-Site VPN configurations. KIS has deployed numerous solutions based on a variety of products that are proven and RFC compliant. KIS has experience in deploying secure remote access that must meet or exceed the tests in newer regulations and compliance standards.
TCP/IP is the standard by which all Internet traffic communicates and is the core method for business to communicate with Internet entities and other businesses. This standard has gone through many revisions and changes over the years and KIS has the expertise to properly and efficiently provide an optimal TCP/IP address infrastructure that makes sense for your business. Services such as DNS, IPv6, VoIP, and other TCP/IP based tools are the foundation by which KIS builds the network infrastructures for our clients.
