Linux System Training
In Linux System Administration: LPI Certification, you examined the basic commands required to manage files, directories, users, and devices. In this course, you will implement and manage web, file, and security features. You will also troubleshoot the system and network problems. You will find that this course benefits you in two ways. First, it will teach you the skills you need to provide advanced features and services to users of your Linux network. It will also prepare you for the LPI Certification exam (Exam 201 and Exam 202).
You will install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot network services. Based on the business requirements, you will add new hardware devices to the Linux system. You will also re-compile and patch a kernel to extend the kernel functionality. You will secure the Linux network from intruders. You will share resources across networks and automate tasks using scripts. You will determine the cause of the network problems and troubleshoot them. Additionally, you will also create a boot and recovery disk to restore a system from crash.
This course focuses on the LPI 201 exam and addresses the following knowledge areas:
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for system and network administrators who are familiar with working at the Linux command line and performing basic system administration tasks such as maintaining user accounts and groups, and backing up and restoring data.
Prerequisites
The user should have performed network administration tasks such as installation and configuration of network services, troubleshooting simple networking problems, and connecting workstations to a network. The user should have taken Linux System Administration: LPI Certification or possess equivalent knowledge.
