A leading computer network integration and consulting systems house today announced the addition of Dennis Cheek as a Principal Consultant. Prior to joining KIS, Dennis was a Senior Enterprise Consultant & Client Partner with Novell Consulting Services from 2003-2006.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Air Force Institute of Technology (Honor Graduate – twice), and Community College of the Air Force, Dennis has also worked at North Broward Hospital District (Manager, Information Services: 1998-2002), Inacom Professional Services (Senior Network Consultant & Area Principal: 1995-1998), and the United States Air Force (Chief of Computer Systems Element & Base LAN Manager: 1991-1995, Chief UK Wideband Special Maintenance Teams: 1988-1991, Team Chief Joint Unconventional Warfare Task Force & Tactical Communications: 1984-1988, and Wideband Communications & Base/Installation Security Systems Technician: 1980-1984.
Dennis has worked on such high profile projects as developing, piloting, and closing a Multi-Million eGovernment initiative involving execution of Identity Management & MetaDirectory projects; designed, helped implement & oversee a 12-Node/6,000-user GroupWise 6.5 Cluster Upgrade/Migration for major Utility Company in Tampa, FL.
He designed & helped sell a 10,000-User Exchange 5.5 to GroupWise 7 on Linux Business Continuity Cluster (2 x 10-Node Linux Clusters connected by 2Gbps IP/LANX & 2Gbps Fibre-Channel links to synchronize Cluster, eDir, & SAN data) for the largest English-speaking media company in Canada and implemented one of the first Novell Business Continuity Clusters for Chicago Mercantile Exchange between September 2004 & January 2005 to meet regulatory requirements for high availability ordered by the US SEC.
