Business Continuity Service

Business IT Management California
The KIS Business Continuity Service is an important service offering that helps our clients create a resilient and compliant infrastructure by providing assessment, design, implementation, training, and management services specific to our client’s business continuity needs.

We at KIS will provide a holistic view of network security, systems and storage management. The service includes a thorough audit of the IT infrastructure to identify potential risks, while delivering a detailed “to-do list” as well as ongoing best practices policies to harden against attacks or disasters, help meet regulatory compliance requirements, and help ensure high availability of critical systems.

I. Business Continuity Assessment

This is the first and most critical stage of successful business continuity planning. The information in the assessment is used throughout the planning process to help ensure all initiatives, recommended solutions, and management are cost-effective and aligned with actual business requirements of each individual client.

  • Business Impact Analysis: analyze the financial and operational impact of the business due to disruptions at all levels and includes a threat priority matrix
  • Risk Assessment: identify vulnerability levels and business risk reduction initiatives which will minimize or prevent business disruptions. Mitigate Compliance requirements for Security risks
  • Vulnerability to Downtime Audit: KIS will audit and score the vulnerability risk (security, business systems, and infrastructure). Any score over a 30% risk factor should be taken seriously. KIS will utilize this phase to build the recommended design for approval of our clients.

II. Business Continuity Design

KIS will design an architecture and recovery strategy to cost-effectively restore business services to required levels as defined by the Continuity Assessment phase.

Includes:

  • “To Do List” for each key section including: documents, applications, operating systems, storage systems, network infrastructure and devices, security systems, and power.
  • Documented policies, provisioning, procedures, SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
  • Policy document will consist of multiple areas that will cover the technical aspects of security, fail-over, and fail-back controls for specific computers or groups of computers as required (determined in Phase I).
  • Provisioning documentation will provide the scope, personnel, software, equipment, and processes to which our client’s policies will apply.
  • Procedures will detail the actual step-by-step operations that need to be performed (cookbook)

III. Business Continuity  Implementation & Training

KIS representatives assist in all phases of implementation and continue to provide this service to our clients worldwide. The engineering and consulting teams provide great value by being an integral part of all phases and tasks including:
